X-WR-CALDESC:The trees have a lot to tell us\, but they don't make a sound.
To understand them\, we have to learn their language. Local Naturalist Ha
rry Wallin will lead us on a journey to learn more about the language of t
rees.\n\nJoin us as we venture into the trails of Historic Charlton Park t
o discover how to read the trees that grow in this area. During this walk\
, you will learn how to distinguish trees without the distraction of their
leaves\, observe where and how they grow\, and what growth form they take
. Armed with this knowledge\, participants will be able to identify trees
in the other three seasons of the year more easily\, and understand why tr
ees grow the way they do. At the conclusion of the walk\, there will time
for brief discussion and Q&A back at the Upjohn Office.\n\nParking will be
at the Upjohn Office building\, and we will walk to the trails from there
. The introduction to the walk will begin promptly at 2:30 p.m.\, so pleas
e arrive a few minutes early. Please dress for the weather. In case of inc
lement weather\, please watch this page\, the website <a href='www.charlto
 npark.org'>homepage</a>\, or our <a href='https://www.facebook.com/Charlto
nPark/'>Facebook </a> page for information on cancellation.\n\nPlease clic
k on the link below to register. There is no fee for this activity\, but w
e would like to have an accurate headcount - we require at least 4 partici
pants to run the program.\n\nCan't wait to see you!
