We Value Your Opinion!

What do you think about park and recreation opportunities in Barry County? What are your favorite parks, activities, and priorities for improvement? These are just a few of the topics we want YOUR input on to help guide the future of Barry County Parks.

With the input of county residents and park visitors, the Barry County Parks and Recreation Commission is updating their 5-year park and recreation plan. This plan will define long-term objectives for the county park system and ensure eligibility for state and federal grants to assist with land acquisition and park improvements. This survey will help refine the results of the initial public survey conducted in late 2023.

This survey will take approximately 12 minutes to complete. Barry County Parks and Recreation Commission owns and operates Charlton Park Historic Village and Museum, McKeown Bridge Park, portions of the Paul Henry Thornapple Trail, and Metcalf Lake Natural Area and Park, a 160-acre property in Assyria Township recently acquired from the City of Battle Creek.
