Bailey Nature Preserve Public Dedication
Over 20 years ago, David and Eleanor Bailey envisioned a beautiful place where local people would be able to experience nature. Join us on June 7, 2025 to celebrate the dedication of their vision.
The Bailey Nature Preserve includes 35-acre Metcalf Lake and was donated by David and Eleanor Bailey in 1999 to the City of Battle Creek to serve the community as a public nature preserve. It boasts beautiful, wooded ridges and wide ravines that lend themselves well to the trail system that is under construction.
There will be a guided walking tour on the unimproved trail after the dedication.
